Michigan Clean Cities is working to ensure that the EV revolution is inclusive. Kalamazoo and Portage residents and the general public can now sign up for the EV car sharing program hosted at the Creamery and Spring Manor communities.

MICC’s Jamie Leonard participated in a recent press event at Lansing Board of Water & Light headquarters celebrating the city winning $8 million in funding for its public EV charging plan.

MICC’s quarterly clean transportation networking events are back! On November 3, 2023, we held our fall networking mixer on electric school busing with host BorgWarner (formerly Rhombus Energy Solutions) and sponsor Clean Fuels Michigan.

MICC highlights biodiesel for use in marine vehicles in Michigan’s clean transportation discourse, actively engaging with the Clean Ports Working Group and Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority Decarbonization Project.

In 2021, the DOE’s Clean Cities Initiative piloted capacity-building training to align with the Justice40 Initiative, focusing on clean transportation. MICC’s next step involves co-developing Clean Transportation Action Plans with Detroit communities.
