Clear the Air for School Kids

Clear the Air for School Kids (CASK) is an ongoing effort to boost clean school bus and reduce engine idling with and for school districts and students.

The current CASK activities include collaboration with the World Resources Institute’s Electric School Bus initiative, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean School Bus Program workgroup, Michigan Association for Pupil Transportation, MI Air MI Health It’s Electric coalition, the Idle Free Schools coalition currently facilitated by Michigan Environmental Council, and Southwest Detroit Environmental Vision’s anti-idling campaign. Michigan Clean Cities launched CASK in 2009 after several years of collaborating with school districts in the Greater Lansing Area to meet statewide interest in clean school bus activities.
