On August 27th, 2021, at Clinch Park in Traverse City, Michigan, there will be a ribbon cutting
ceremony as Traverse City Light & Power announces an installation of electric vehicle (EV)
chargers as a part of an extensive environmental program to reduce the city’s carbon footprint.

Traverse City Light & Power is an early adopter among Michigan’s public utilities for EV charging
infrastructure roll-out. The Traverse City ribbon-cutting event celebrates Traverse City Light &
Power’s first electric vehicle charging stations under their zero-emission vehicle fueling
initiative. In May, Traverse City Light & Power received over $170,000 in grant money from the
Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Charge Up Michigan
program in support of these charging stations.

This event is open to the public, so come out and join others in celebrating this tremendous
achievement!
