DESCRIPTION:Born in 1993\, the Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Initiative was created to provide one-on-one and peer network support to support decreased emissions from vehicle fleets by diversifying the type and amount of fuel used in their operations. Thirty years later\, there are more than 75 Clean Cities coalitions nationwide working with their local fleets\, governments\, and community organizations to promote and enable clean transportation options. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of Michigan Clean Cities achieving its designation in this nationwide network! Formerly Greater Lansing Area Clean Cities\, we’ve since expanded our reach to serve the entire state. \nCome celebrate with us in Washington\, D.C.\, at the Clean Cities Stakeholder Summit on September 6\, 2023. This event will bring together Clean Cities staff and stakeholders\, as well as national lab and Department of Energy (DOE) staff\, from all around the country to discuss the future of clean transportation and to celebrate 30 years of the U.S. DOE Clean Cities initiative.
